If 2 lines are perpendicular the product of the gradients MUST equal -1

Dimensional analysis again....you are given   $     and   Hours     and you want   $/hr     so....divide what you are given:

A  LOT of the posted questions on this forum can be simply answered if you do dimensional analysis and understand how to multiply and divide fractions.....this one is an example....your final answer is to be 'seconds'

you are given    'meters'     and 'meters/second'             Do they not teach 'dimensional analysis' any longer?????

If you divide 'meters'   by 'meters/second'    the 'meters' will cancel and you are left with 'seconds' and you have your answer.....this is REALLY good for checking your answers in ALGEBRA PHYSICS ENGINEERING etc....ALWAYS include your units in the answer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you mean the penny's value doubles every day, then do this: \(0.01*{2}^{30}\)

Since \(0.01*{2}^{30}\) = 10 737 418.24, the penny would be worth that much in 30 days.

However, you have not specified what the exponent is. So, just replace the base of \({2}^{30}\) with whatever your exponent is. If the penny's value x10 every day, then change it to: \({10}^{30}\)

What is the exponent?    Doubles everyday?   Triples? etc

Add 'x' to both sides and you will have   x = 15.325/8      then  just use the calculator!

How I got there: this is a rather simple algebraic problem, steps to solve:

1. Isolate variable, multiplay pi on both sides:  M / pi * pi = 7.3 * pi

2. pi on left side cancels, so you get:  M = 7.3 * pi

3. Solve! The answer is around 22.934
