I can't see any straight forward way to do this.

The 4 dice would have to add up to 6,9,12,15,18,21 or 24

The only way for the dice to add to 24 is   6,6,6,6      that is one combination.

1,1,2,2             So there are only 2 ways to add to 6

= 42 ways of thowing a multiple of 3

The probable sums divisible by 3 are: 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24. Each one of these has a different probability. Adding all their probabilities together, I get: 33.33076%

The number of different ways you get these 7 totals, I get: 432 ways.

I got these numbers by expanding the following:

And adding all the coefficients of n^24, n^21, n^18, n^15, n^12, n^9, and n^6.

Well, guest has neamed all the 3 digit ones but it says 'at most' so I am going to interpret this question to mean that no other digits can be used but these three do not all need ot be used either.

So I will take the 6 already named and add

1,2,3,12,13,21,23,31,32    that is 9 more - so I will say  9+6=15

There are 4 boys and 3 girls in a lunch line. In how many different ways can they line up if the 3 girls want to stay as a group.

There are 3! ways to order the girls = that is 6 ways.

Now tie a rope around the girls = now you have 4 boys and one very weird looking female.  That is 5 altogether.

There are 5! ways to order these 5 entitiies in a line

so

altogether there will be 

3!*5! ways

3!*5! = 720 ways
