Hi notsomathpro and Bertie,

Firstly it is fine for you to answer this way Bertie.

notsomathpro, you did not do anything wrong either.

We want to work with you to help you nut out your problems.  You are older than many of the question askers and it is reasonable for Bertie to ask you to interact with him.  So try and talk about the question.  What have you tried.  Why won't it work etc.

On other forums this is always demanded.  On this forum we are often more relaxed but sometimes we are more relaxed than we should be.

Well...if we put in any real number for n...don't we get a real number back?? And since we can return any real number we want...that's what I was getting at.....the "y" is implied..

It's just nonsense, rosala.....

It's a derivative of......"How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood??"

I wouldn't worry about that one too much, either.....

Hang on a minute.  how can this have a domain and range?

It is not an equation it doesn't even have a y value.

It is just an expression.

Maybe it is me that is wrong.  Can other mathematicians arbitrate please?

what language is this !

This question makes no sense to me.

I have run this through a translator but the translation makes no sense.

Check your spelling.  I don't even know what language it is in.

Is that what you meant?

ur welcome melody !

Thanks Rosala.

oh my god  , thats a miracle , instead of harry potter how come spider man be in hogwarts ! lol!

Answer what?

I'm going to buck the trend of this forum and ask you why I should answer this question ?

It looks to me like a homework question or (part of) an assignment. Why should I do it for you ?

Have you actually tried to answer it ? If you have, show us some working and one of us may be able (and willing) to help.
