There looks like an unmatched parenthesee right before the 3...I think it's supposed to go at the end

( (-2)³+4² ) / ( 3 - (5² + 3*6) )

( -8 + 16 ) / ( 3 - (25 + 18) )

- 1/5

And -1/5 = -0.2

If you put it in like this: ((-2)^3+4^2)/(3-(5^2+3*6)) it should tell you the fraction -1/5 and the decimal -0.2...If you don't put the parenthesee at the end it just tells you the decimal answer

sin²θ + cos²θ = 1

(√11/5)² + cos²θ = 1

11/25 + cos²θ = 1

cos²θ = 1 - 11/25

cos θ = \(-\sqrt{\frac{14}{25}}=-\frac{\sqrt{14}}{5}\)

tan θ = sin θ / cos θ

tan θ = \(\frac{\sqrt{11}}{5}/-\frac{\sqrt{14}}{5}=\frac{\sqrt{11}}{5}\cdot-\frac{5}{\sqrt{14}}=-\frac{\sqrt{11}}{\sqrt{14}}=-\sqrt{\frac{11}{14}}\)

I might be wrong on this.... but I think the question wants the measure of the arc which is the measure of the central angle that intercepts the arc. I agree with you that the lengths of the arcs can't be found with the given info

Your angles are correct but I do not think that there is enough info to give the arc lengths.

Your s relates to angles subtended from the centre.  The 360 is 360 degrees. It is not related to the length of the circumference.

Where  r is the radius but I do not see how you can give exact values for these.  :/

Let's just count how many cube faces are exposed..

8 on the front, 8 on the back

3 on the left side, 3 on the right side

3 on the top, 3 on the bottom

4 in the middle

That is a total of 8 + 8 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 4 = 32 exposed cube faces.

Each cube face has an area of 3 cm * 3 cm = 9 cm²

So.. the total surface area of this shape = 32 * 9 = 288 cm²

It's a  3 x 3 x 1 box SA minus 2 faces PLUS 4 faces.

Well, if you started to burn two candles at once. Which of the three would last longest? The five hour one of course.

So say you have the 5 hour candle and 4 hour candle burning. The 5 hour candle remains after four hours (one hour remains on the candle). You quickly replace the melted candle with the three hour candle, after one more hour (5 hours have passed) the only candle that remains is three hour (now one hour left).

area of middle triangle = (1/2) (base) (height)

area of middle triangle = ( 1/2 ) ( 8 ) ( [8/2]/2 )

area of middle triangle = ( 1/2 ) ( 8 ) ( 2 ) = 8 cm²

yellow area = (1/2)(π*4²) - 8

yellow area = (1/2)(16π) - 8

yellow area = 8π - 8 cm²

Oh thanks! I'm pretty sure the angles are half the arc measure. So, A would be 60, B would be 80, and C is 40 :)

You don't need to find x and y

Link the diagonals of the square from the top right corner to the bottom left corner

x^2 + y^2 is just the length of the line you draw squared.

The length of the diagonal is just the diameter of the circle

Therefore length of that diagonal = 5 * 2 = 10

Therefore x^2 + y^2 = 10^2 = 100 :D

m angle EBC = 90 deg because the question says EB is tangent to circle

cos (angle ECB) = radius/(2 * radius) = 1/2

m angle ECB = 60 deg

Therefore m angle BAD = 60 deg / 2 = 30 deg :D
