Well...I don't get "everything" 100% correct.....(far from it), but if the numbers are 1 - 8, notice that 3 of them are less than 4, namely, 1, 2 and 3. And 8 different outcomes are possible. But since we're interested in only 3 of them, the probability that we spin a number less than 4 is just :  3/8

The numbers are 2 6 17 21 23 85 and the Magic Number is 815.

[23(2+6) - 21](85/17) =

[23(8) - 21] (5) =

[184 - 21](5) =

[163](5) =

815

Yeah thats what I got when I divided 4 and 8 and got 1/2 but like you said hopeing one of the guys who normally gives a 100% correct answer to either tell me we are right or wrong.

I suggest waiting till someone more qualified arrives mate, but i'm guessing 1/2

so the formula would be

Well actually friend, i had to multiply monomials...... not simplify.

The answer to the one that's wrong is: 12x(x-11) = 12x^2 - 132x = x(12x-132) but that last step isn't necesary

if in the test was: 12x(x-11)=0, you also have to say:

x=0 v x=12x-132

x=0 v 12x=-132

x=0 v x=-11

Ahhh. okay. Sorry for suspecting anything.
