Here's an approach where logs aren't required

25^(-2)  =  (5^2)^(-2) = 5^(-4)

25^(17/x)  = (5^2)^(17/x) = 5^(34/ x)

Agree with EP....the population seems to grow at about 10% per year....1% per year doesn't grow fast enough

The function appears to be  y =  850 (1.10)^n   where n is the number of years after 1990

We can throw out the bottom right graph....it rises much too quickly...the pop in year 2 should only be about 1029 people

We can also throw out the bottom left graph....this graph shows that the beginning pop is < 800 people

The top right graph only shows that the beginning pop is about 800....but it should be 850

The top left graph shows the beginning pop to be about 850.... and the pop in year 9 (1999) should be about 2000 people....this is the correct graph
