Yay !
Ok i got it right thank you! i understood my mistake was i forgot that when simplifying (2x+3y)(2x+3y) i just multiplyed out the integers but i forgot that the variables also square each other.
Well, if you got 4x + 9y = 64 you didn't look at the answer I gave you......
|3x-5| = 2x+2
solve the following:
3x-5 = 2x+2 or 3x-5 = -2x-2
well i got that already i got 4x + 9y = 64 but i dont understand how to turn this into 4x^2 + 9y^2 = something?
(2x+3y)^2 = 4 expand
4x^2 + 12 xy + 9y^2 = 4
4 x^2 + 12(-5) + 9y^2 = 4 You can take it from here, hopefully !
.4 = 12/QR
Oh wait I used the wrong diagram
10x - 21 = 8x + 1
2x = 22
x = 11
8(11) + 1 + z = 180
89 + z = 180
z = 91
Cos Q ? Q is a right angle....cos = 0
If cos R = 0.4
then cos R = adj/hyp = QR/9
.4 = QR / 9 then QR = 3.6 units
this answer is incorrect :(
Out of 100 integers of this form, I could find only one such number: 32256 mod 72 =0
40 south, 60 west 10 north, 20 east totals to
30 south, 40 west
\(\sqrt{30^2 + 40^2}\) = 50
so the answer is 50
to be divisible by 72, it has to be divisible by 8 and 9. To be divisible by 9, 3 + 2 + x + 5 + y has to be divisible by 9. So, 10+x+y is divisible by 9. Then, x5y has to be divisible by 8. Now, if you list it all out, you should get an answer.
100 is also wrong, but thanks for trying
Re-arrange
x^2 -8x + y^2+5y = 35 complete the square for x and y
(x-4)^2 + (y+2.5)^2 = 35 + 16 + 6.25
x,y = (4 , - 2.5)
According to my messages box, it shows he's still a mod and still on the site :)
Thanks so much!
1/89 = 0.0112359550561798 from this website calculator
Multiply first equation by 2 then add it to the 2nd equation...this will eliminate 'y'...you can then solve for 'x'
use this value of 'x' in one of the equtions to solve for 'y'
Multiply thru by n^2 to get
.28 n^2 = n +2 re-arrange
.28n^2 - n -2 = 0 Quadratic formula (for the negative value) n = - 1.42857
...or think of a pythagorean triple
Use Pythagorean theorem
the diagonal is the hypotenuse one leg is 20 find the other leg (width)
h^2 = l1 2 + l2 2
252 = 202 + w2 Solve for w
Um thats wrong.
