You can solve this without WolframAlpha. Start by adding all the equations together:

a + b + c + d + e + f = 81.5

If each equation is called (1), (2), (3), ..., etc, then you can subtract our "master equation" from each like so:

3a + b + c + d + e + f = 43

a + b + c + d + e + f = 81.5

Subtract, so 2a = -38.5 and a = -19.25.

The numbers may be incorrect, but you get the idea.

Let's think about composite numbers instead. Composite numbers can be written as the product of smaller prime numbers. For example, 6 = 2 * 3.

Composite polynomials are kind of the same. They can be written as the product of smaller, indivisible factors. 

For example, x^4 - 16 = (x^2 + 4)(x + 2)(x - 2). 

You can't divide these factors any further, so x^4 - 16 is composite.

This is the sum of a GP  (Geometric progression) which maybe you have not learned about yet.

The first term, a=1       (3^0=1)

The common ratio r=3       (because you keep multiplying by 3)

there are n+1 terms here (see if you can understand why it is not n)

The formula for the sum of a GP is       \(S_n=\frac{a(r^{n}-1)}{r-1}\)

But in this case n needs to be replaced with n+1  because there are n+1 terms.

\(S_{n+1}=\frac{a(r^{n+1}-1)}{r-1}\\ S_{n+1}=\frac{1(3^{n+1}-1)}{3-1}\\ S_{n+1}=\frac{(3^{n+1}-1)}{2}\\\)

g(x) must cancel out the x^5 and x^4 terms, so the degree of g(x) is 5.

This can be generalized:

\(a^0 + a^1 + \dots + a^n = \frac{1 - a^{n+1}}{1 - a}\)

(I derived this from the formula for the finite geometric series. If I've made a mistake, please let me know.)

I substituted your other values in and I do not think that they work.
