Have a look at the definition of a inversely propotional relationship.

Hence

$$m = \frac{k}{g} \Leftrightarrow k = mg \Leftrightarrow k = 90 \times 40 = 3600$$

Now if

$$m = g$$

we can write

$$m^2 = k = 3600 \Leftrightarrow m = \sqrt{3600} = 60$$

Therefore

$$m = g = 60$$

Sine and Cosine are used to find angles, sides and occasionally the area of a triangle using their rules( a/SinA = b/SineB = c/SineC) (a^2= b^2 + c^2 - 2bc cosA) which can be rearranged to find what you need for any triangle. Sine and cosine can also be used on right angled triangles with the hypotenuse (longest side) and the opposite (side opposite the angle) with Sine and adjecent and hypotenuse for Cosine, the angle you have or are finding must always come after cosine or sine, e.g. sin(180). hope it helps

I'm having to differentiate (5+x^2)^3/2 and i got 3x(5+x^2)^1/2. Is that not right?

I think you made little careless error anon.

I tink you intended your first bracket to have (x+2)

$$x+\frac{2}{3}&=&x-\frac{5}{4}\\\\$$

this has no solutions since 2/3 cannot equal -5/4

Perhaps you should have put brackets in your question but I have answered the question that you presented. !

<=> (x+3)*4 = 3*(x-5)

<=> 4x+12 = 3x - 15

<=> x= -27

75/3=25

so

108/75=36/25 

It does not reduce any further although you could turn it into a mixed numeral :)
