I just reread the question. It’s not the same as the other question --Anon’s answer is correct. 

Now, there is another reason to pinch a clothespin on my nose. It seems I have a strain of CDD that causes near instant brain damage. Yep, my brain is liquefying and dripping out my nose. A clothespin will help keep it contained until it re-solidifies.

So to find the percent increase to raise this back to the original price we have

Well, first you need to find the decimal forms of those two fractions. 1/4=0.25 and 25/99=0.2525252525... By putting into decimals, you can now see the differences and likeliness. Alike - They both have 0.25 as decimals. | Difference - One decimal is a repeating decimal.

X can be any number higher than 2 because 2x2-1=3 also but the symbol is only greater than, not the greater than or equal to sign.

T=1. -8(2x1+5)=-72

    -8x7=-72

The pattern is that it is a number added by that number as in 3+1=4 so 1+1=2, 4+2=6; 2+2=4, 6+4+10; 4+4=8, so the next number would be 18 because 10+8=18.

Let the original price be $100.   It makes no difference what you choose for the original price but most people with find it easier if you choose an easy number rather than a letter.

alright we reduce this by 40% so the new price will be 100 - 40% of 100 = $60

so the question becomes   (where x% is the price increase)

60 + x% of 60 = $100

$$\\60+\frac{x}{100}*60=100\\\\
\frac{x}{100}*60=40\\\\
\frac{x}{100}=\frac{40}{60}\\\\
\frac{x}{100}=\frac{2}{3}\\\\
x=\frac{2}{3}\times 100\\\\

$So the price would have to increase by $ 66\;\frac{2}{3} \;\%$$
