$I put the square root in so both answers are valid$\\$$

so

$$\\(x^2)^{1/2}\ge0\\
\pm x \ge0\\
$either $x\ge0\;\;or\;\;-x\ge 0\\
$either $x\ge0\;\;or\;\;x\le 0\\
$Hence x is any real number $$$

you did three backslash\\\ for the new line.

A new line also appeared on the second bit but why is there only one backslash\ when you still got a new line..?

Why do you put { } on  144 but not 9

There are 28 ways for the first, 27 ways for the second and 26 ways for the 3rd   That is 28*27*26

BUT it doesn't matter what order they are chosen.  so you have to divide by 3! = 6

this is how I would normally do it

There is something else to digest :)

Volume of cone = (1/3)pi*r²*h

Volume of cylinder of same radius and height = pi*r²*h

So cylinder has three times the volume of the cone.

I really don't know. You would need to use the cylinder volume formula and cone volume formula.

I used coordinate geometry to find the the y value when x=4 and when x=3  This is the outcome.

You really do lose a litttle 1 unit square in the middle.  

That is because the height has been extended by a skinny rectangle of area 1u^2 is 

it actually is free, just that it doesn't load really well, but i found out it does on the older movies! even if i have to wait for a new movie to watch, i can still purge the streets while waiting

First you must prove that this polynomial has no real roots.
