why not 

let      $$\theta=sin^{-1}(1/3)$$

$$cot\theta=\sqrt{8}=2\sqrt2$$

But $$sin\theta>0$$    so  theta could be in the 1st otr second quadrant so

$$cot\theta=\pm2\sqrt2$$

$$cot(sin^{-1}(1/3))=\pm2\sqrt2$$

I'm not a business pro...but I think this means this.....you get a 2% discount if you pay the whole thing witihin 10 days......normally, the net date  would be 20 days after the discount date (May 6), but I believe the "EOM" means that you must pay the whole amount 10 days after the end of the month.....in effect, the EOM extends the "net date" by 4 days

The discount date would be April 16

The net date would be 10 days after the end of the month = May 10

A very busy day today.  Aziz dropped in for a visit too.  CPhill and I were quite excited about that.

 In statistics   $$\bar{x}$$   stand for the mean.  And the mean is the average.

so you just add up all the scores and divide by how many there are.  :)
