Lol so i was totally wrong

Area of a right triangle =  1/2 x leg1 x leg2

leg1 = 1.5 leg2  (given)

Area = 12 m^2 (given)

12 = 1/2  (1.5 leg2) (leg2)

24 = 1.5 (leg2)^2

16 = (leg2)^2

4m = leg2                 then leg1 = 1.5 leg2 = 6m

Use pythag theorom to find hypotenuse

4^2 + 6^2 = hyp^2

hyp = 7.211 m

I thought it would be height*diameter not adding them oops

Now this is something I can help with!

#1: The ratio 2:3=5 so you would use 2/5 or 3/5 as a fraction (I'll do 2/5 with this example)

Use the distance formula: [x1+a/a+b(x2-x1), y1+a/a+b(y2-y1)]

Plug in all the numbers and solve: 

X: -3+2/5(5+3)=0.2

Y: -4+2/5(0+4)=-2.4

P= (0.2,-2.4)

Now #2 is a bit different but also the same. 

The ratio would be 4:1. Four part JP and one part PK.

4:1=5 so your fraction would be either 4/5 or 1/5 (using 1/5 here)

X: -2+1/5(2+2)=-1.2

Y: 5+1/5(5+3)=6.6

P=(-1.2,6.6)

Volume of a cylinder = pi r^2 h

h = 2r+2.25   (given)    and  V = 52.18 in^3  (given)

Substitute

52.18 = (3.14) (r^2)(2r+2.25)      expand

52.18 = (3.14) (2r^3 + 2.25 r^2)   divide by 3.14

16.617834 = 2r^3 + 2.25r^2             re-rrange

2r^3 +2.25r^2 - 16.617834 = 0       Solving GRAPHICALLY     r = 1.7115 in

So the cylinder is    d = (1.7115 x 2 ) = 3.423 in   &      h= 2.25 + d = 5.673 in

First, realize that in Quandrant I       sin and cos are positive

    in Quandrant II                             sin is positive and cos is negative

Using the unit circle    pi/4    sin = opp/hyp = 1/sqrt2 = sqrt2/2        (this is the ' y' coordinate)

                                              cos = adj/hyp = 1/sqrt2 = sqrt 2/2       (this is the 'x' coordinate)

                                              (in Quandrant I they are BOTH POSITIVE)

Now move to Quandrant II     the  magnitude of sin and cos are the same BUT cos is negative

         so for 3pi/4       sin = sqrt2/2   cos = - sqrt2/2

     so (x,y) on the unit circle for 3pi/4   =   ( - sqrt2/2 , sqrt2/2 )

That is called an imaginary number

1 is the real part    9i is the imaginary part       (  i = sqrt(-1) )

Here is how I do it:

x=6.123 123 123....

then

1000x = 6123. 123 123 ....

Now do this:

1000x - x = 999x

6123. 123 123....  - 6.123 123... = 999x

6117 = 999x     divide both sides by 999

x = 6117/999    and simplify (if possible)

x = 2039/333                                                                      6117/999 = 6.1231231231231231

Like, convert 3.33333333...... or 6.123123123123... or 5.478478478478 or 9.25366666..... to fractions. 

3.3333333... =3 1/3

6.123123123.... =6  41/333

5.478478478...=5  478/999

9.253666666....=9 761/3000
